Forest Carpentry Ltd is a family firm based in Christchurch, Dorset. Company number 5945481. Forest Carpentry is a member of the Passivhaus trust and the AECB.
The first properties we built in 2006 were way beyond Building Regs requirements for Thermal Efficiency and we have continued to work that way. We’re ecologically Nerdy.
We have built properties with:
Twice the required levels of insulation
3 times as air tight as required
We’ve put solar panels on every new build since 2010. Our current Passivhaus’s will each have 13kW peak.
All our properties have wet underfloor throughout downstairs
For over ten years all new builds and renovations have had triple glazing. We are amazed the double glazing is still legal.

We tend to use NHBC for warranties on new builds. They have 20 different ratings for builders dependent on how long they’ve been in business and how good their work is. We have the highest, A1, rating.
